Finding Your E-Voice FA24 with Professor Buchenot

Finding Your E-Voice is a class about how to find yourself and what you want to create in a digital space as well as how to market yourself once you have your footing. There are various types of content you can create, and millions of ways to strategize and market yourself. Over the course of the Fall 2024 semester, we covered how to utilize Wikipedia and be a community contributor, create a blog with a specific service catered to a specific community in mind, and after exposure to various audio editing softwares, created a podcast to use those marketing skills from the blog project and transferred it do a solely audio space rather than a visual one.

Over the course of the semester, I truly learned what content is and what it means to be a digital content creator.

Throughout the course of the semester, we kept journals to record how we grew as digital creators.

Creating digital content takes a lot of care thought and time in order to create an effective strategy to promote your product.

At the end of each unit, we were to create a reflective essay to showcase what we learned and how we overcame challenges that arose along the way.

As an educator, it's very interesting to see how i can take this type of digital work and transform it into something that can be used in the classroom.

Three Areas of Study

Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia that utilizes a network of volunteers to provide quality information to a wide audience of users. I had the priviledge of joining these volunteers by editing four articles and ensuring they are up to the pillars of Wikipedia's standards.
